This Time’s Focus: Tantō Techniques
This time, we’re introducing tantōjutsu.
There are 13 techniques, and every single one is packed with powerful, dynamic taijutsu (body movement) designed to overcome longer weapons.
When your opponent is using a longer blade, you must win with a shorter weapon.
That reality naturally demands:
- Strong body control
- Close-range awareness
- Decisive, committed movement
As a result, these techniques place heavy emphasis on full-body martial mechanics, not just blade work.
Why Tantō Training Matters
By training these techniques and forging your taijutsu alongside your weapons skills,
it’s no exaggeration to say that your overall martial ability will improve dramatically.
And one important reminder:
🗡 Never underestimate a short blade.
Its size demands precision, courage, and deep understanding of distance and timing.
Mastering it sharpens everything else you do.
