Seki Nobuhide Sensei

Seki Sensei has been training Kendo since he was 3, Iaido since he was 9, and Jōdo and Kobudo Asayama Ichiden Ryu since he was 23.
He has won national tournaments in Iaido 3 times and in Jōdō 2 times. He is currently 8th Dan in Iaido, 7th Dan in Jōdo, and 5th Dan in Kendo, and the 22nd headmaster of Kobudo Asayama Ichiden Ryu.

Most instructors lack specific awards and only know how to handle katanas. However, Seki Sensei has won the national Iai competition three times and the national Jodo competition twice. In addition to katanas, he is highly skilled with various other weapons, including the bo staff, jo staff, tamagusari ball chain, kama sickle, and shuriken. Thanks to his extensive experience with multiple martial arts styles and weapons, there has never been a question from his students that he couldn’t answer accurately. Each online lesson is filled with invaluable teachings from Seki Sensei, making him a true treasure for our school.
Last but not least, what’s amazing is his kind personality and stunning ability to teach his skills to his students. Many people are good at demonstrating their skills, but not at teaching them to others. However, Seki Sensei is a great performer and can logically communicate his skills to his students.
