- The dan rank promotion exams are held two times a year online.
- Fees will only be issued upon completion; certificate preparation and postage are included.
- Students who have passed the 3rd dan exam and have participated in the annual training camp held in Japan at least once can apply for the “Club Leader Exam.”
- Only one person from one account on Patreon can participate per exam
- You must have the proper training gear and Iaitō to participate (wearing exercising clothes, using a wooden katana, and no outer belt are not acceptable)
- Joining the online lessons solely to pass the exam and immediately canceling your membership afterward is prohibited (except for the Shodan exam)
Iai (Katana) Class Dan Rank System
Dan rank evaluations are held twice a year (March / September). On the day of the evaluation, Seki Sensei will select five kata/exercises from the list below, which you will be required to demonstrate once each. Each kata can be redone once if needed (however, this will result in point deductions).
