The first dan promotion examinations 2024 will be held soon for each class. The Asayama Ichiden Ryu class will be held on March 2, and the Shunjō (staff) class will be held on April 7. The Asayama Ichiden Ryu class had one exam last year, so some students already have Shodan (First Dan). They will try for Nidan (Second Dan) this time. On the other hand, Shunjō (staff) will be taking their first dan exam, and all of the nearly 20 members will be challenging for Shodan. The examination details are as follows.

1st Dan
- Tōrei (Katana bowing)
- Kihon Battō (Kamidachiwari to Gyakutenuki)
- Tsumemokuroku
2nd Dan
- Tōrei (Katana bowing)
- Kihon Battō (Kamidachiwari to Gyakutenuki ver.3)
- Tsumemokuroku
- The 5 basic Kata (Tenchi, Jūgō, Senden, Senden ver.2, Jinpū, Jinpū ver.2, Sayū-giri, Sayū-giri ver.2)

1st Dan
10 designated Suburi (from the 19 types of Suburi) 10 times each
If you pass the exam, you will have an official certificate to prove your Dan rank sent to your home, and you will have the right to have your rank written next to your name during the classes.
