As we announced earlier, starting August 2025, we’ve officially launched Tamagusari training as part of our Special Weapons Class in the online lesson program!

What is Tamagusari?

The Tamagusari is a hidden weapon once used by samurai—basically a chain with weighted balls at both ends.

While some other ryuha styles also use similar weapons, in Asayama Ichiden-ryu, we call it Tamagusari.

This weapon is swung or thrown to catch your opponent off guard—pretty awesome, right?
