Hello everyone. Thank you for reading this article. I’m Shogo from Let’s ask Shogo, the interpreter of the online lessons and owner of this website.
We are happy to announce that we have officially created a system for our online lesson trainees to someday open their own club or dojo of Asayama Ichiden Ryu. I know there are many members who would be happy to spread the unique techniques of the Ryuha style. I hope this could be a good goal that everyone can work hard for.
A club is a group that you can teach to the level of skills that you have, but you may not take any money from your students. On the other hand, a dojo will be privileged to teach everything taught through online lessons, and you may also accept money for your training from your students. However, you must meet the following requirements.
Club Manager: 3rd Dan or higher, participated in the annual training camp once or more
Dojo Manager: 5th Dan, participated in the annual training camp three times or more
*In any case, you must continue to be an online lesson member yourself and continue to participate in the training.
Many of our online lesson members were worried that the Ryuha style might be spread by people who don’t truly have the skills to do it. That’s why we made the requirements quite strict. Especially at the 5th Dan exam, you must be able to perform all the 50 or more Kata we train in the online lessons perfectly.
Seki Sensei’s ultimate dream is to revive the golden age of Asayama Ichiden Ryu, when it had more than 7,000 students nationwide. I hope you can join the lessons and participate in this big dream. By the way, I, Shogo, am hoping to open a club/dojo in Kyoto, Japan, in the future too. Let’s train together.
