You can either choose from taking the ancient style Asayama Ichiden Ryu lessons, the modern style Musō Shinden Ryu lessons, or both.
Regardless of the class, every class will be recorded, and will be free to watch as many times as you want.
Asayama Ichiden Ryu | Why you should choose us
★A Rare Ancient Style with 400 Years of History
Asayama Ichiden Ryu was born at the end of the Sengoku war era (1467~1615) in Japanese history. It’s a rare style that strongly reflects the fighting methods in samurai armor.
★Earning Official Dan ranks
By passing exams held two times a year, you can earn official Dan ranks (first to fifth) and certificates to prove it. You can also participate in the annual training camps held in Japan.
★Previous lessons are available to watch repeatedly
Even if you can’t make it in time to participate in the lessons live, every class will be recorded and will be free to watch as many times as you want.
★Shogo interprets everything perfectly in English
Shogo from “Let’s ask Shogo (1.6M subs)”, who is a student of this Ryuha himself, will interpret everything in English perfectly. If you have any questions for Seki Sensei, he will be happy to help anytime.
Muso Shinden Ryu | Why you should choose us
★Learn from the BEST sensei in Japan
Seki Sensei is an 8th (top) Dan Kyōshi Iaido master with 40 years of training in Musō Shinden Ryu. He has also won three national Iaido tournaments.
★Participate in the official Dan rank exams and tournaments of ZNKR
ZNKR (Zen Nippon Kendo Renmei) is Japan’s biggest budo martial arts organization. You can visit Japan to participate in its events as Seki Sensei’s student officially.

Equipment you need to take part in the online lessons:
Iaido is a blunt katana made of zinc alloy for training katana martial arts. Please prepare one that is longer than the standard length (The Sensei is 175cm and uses a 2.6 Shaku Iaitō). We recommend you buy it from Tozando.
Please prepare a Dōgi, Hakama, Obi (belt). For the Asayama Ichiden Ryu training, you must also have an outer Obi. We recommend you buy it from Tozando.
Our lessons take place on Zoom. Please prepare as strong a Wi-Fi environment as possible to take the lesson smoothly.
If the camera quality is too poor, you may not be able to receive feedback from the Sensei or participate in the Enbu performance and dan promotion examinations. Please prepare a camera with as wide an angle and good image quality as possible.
▶️Dogi and Hakama:
If you are planning to purchase new dogis or hakama, we recommend the products in this affiliate link! It is the most basic fabric worn in any season.
